I, once, walking through a sidewalk,
held within my left pocket,
a candy, a pepper mint,
And with my hand, I played with it.

It had a plastic clear envelop,
(a little noisy but fun to squeeze)
that protected it from touching my skin,
And with my hand, I played with it.

And as I, was walking through the sidewalk,
while looking at the trees, their green foliage,
and the sky, blue without a single cloud,
with my hand, I played with it.

I continued walking through the sidewalk,
just seeing the cars pass by,
as squirrels jumped from tree to tree,
And as with my hand, I played with it.

And then, there came a time,
while walking through the sidewalk,
And while looking at its potholes and its cracks,
that I saw a handsome guy approaching me

And at that moment,
while walking through the sidewalk,
I tripped upon the thought
that I had not brushed my teeth

But I continued walking through the sidewalk,
as with my hand, I still played with it.
