I thought you were the crystalline waters in a river.
I thought you were the currents that overflowed with clarity
where I could reflect upon
And see nature itself reflected over your waters.
I thought you were that river,
that ran endlessly with kindness
that never stopped fighting for injustices
that continued its endless journey
Until it could finally reach the ocean
But alas, your true nature was a pond
that with a few drops of wisdom felt
as if you were a river
that could reach the ocean
And I thought so too, and I wanted to believe so too
But lately, I can see where the rain is coming from
And how your waters, instead of gaining current
are slowly evaporating
In the desserts of your own loneliness.
